ONCE WE WERE ALL SINNERS IN THE WORLD
G 4/4 ▲
Once we were all sinners in the world,
Searching for hopes and living in darkness;
But when You came into our life and became our all,
Our day was dawn and full of brightness.
We’ve found our joy and rest in Your home,
You have become our life and everything;
In this home, we’re filled with love that we have never known,
What a church, together we’re living.
(c) Oh our dear Lord, how much we love You,
Since You’ve loved us and given Yourself for us;
Oh our church life, we’ll never forsake You,
Since this is our only home and rest.
(c) Oh brothers, how glorious we have Christ,
He is our portion, daily enjoyment and living hope;
Oh sisters, what a rest, we have the church,
Together we enjoy, together we are built, together we press on.
In all our days, we’re rejoicing ‘hallelujah’
For Christ and the church are our all.
